Starting the MetaMask extension is quite simple. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Install MetaMask Extension: If you haven't already installed MetaMask, you can find it on the Chrome Web Store (for Google Chrome) or the Firefox Add-ons store (for Mozilla Firefox). Click on "Add to Chrome" or "Add to Firefox" and follow the installation prompts.

  2. Open MetaMask: Once installed, you can find the MetaMask fox icon in the top right corner of your browser window. Click on it to open the MetaMask extension.

  3. Agree to Terms and Conditions (if required): Upon opening MetaMask Extension for the first time, you may be prompted to agree to the terms and conditions. Read through them and click "Accept" if you agree.

  4. Set Up Your Wallet (if required): If you're using MetaMask for the first time, you'll need to set up your wallet. Click on "Get Started" and then "Create a Wallet." Follow the prompts to create a new wallet by setting up a password and securing your secret backup phrase. Make sure to keep your secret backup phrase safe and secure as it's crucial for restoring your wallet if you ever lose access.

  5. Accessing MetaMask After Setup: Once you've set up your wallet, you can access MetaMask anytime by clicking on the fox icon in your browser.

  6. Logging In (if required): If you've previously set up MetaMask and logged out, you'll need to log back in. Click on the MetaMask icon, and if you're logged out, you'll see options to log in or restore from seed phrase. Choose the appropriate option and follow the prompts.

  7. Connect to a Network: MetaMask allows you to connect to different Ethereum networks (Mainnet, Testnets, Custom RPC, etc.). By default, it's usually connected to the Ethereum Mainnet.
